The stepfamily forces Cinderella to become their servant; this puts Cinderella in agony. The stepsisters are always spoiled and loved by the stepmother, which makes Cinderella feel excluded from the family. Aschenputtel is also a damsel in distress most of the times because of the same reason: her vicious stepfamily. The stepsisters calls Aschenputtel hurtful names, such as stupid creature. The two fairytales, Cinderella and Aschenputtel may be slightly different, but it has multiple similarities, which makes Cinderella a copy of Aschenputtel.
